How to Get Windows 8.1 Pro a Lot Cheaper

Microsoft is selling a Windows 8.1 Pro license for no less than $199.99 (€150)

Microsoft will soon launch Windows 8.1 and, in case you’re a Windows 8 user, you’ll be allowed to get the update as a free download from the Store.

If you’re running Windows XP, Vista, or 7 on the other hand, you’re left with no other choice than to pay $119.99 (€90) for the core version of the operating system, or as much as $199.99 (€150) for the Pro version.

But WindowsObserver has come across a pretty simple method to buy Windows 8.1 Pro a lot cheaper if you’re using any other platform than Windows 8.

The only thing you need to do is to search online for a Windows 8 Pro Upgrade that lets you deploy Microsoft’s modern OS in case you’re already running Windows. Amazon is currently selling the upgrade for about $80 (€59), while various other retails offer it for about the same price.

Once Windows 8.1 comes out on October 18, you can deploy Windows 8 and then install the 8.1 update free from the Store, while saving no less than $120 (€90), which is the equivalent of another standard 8.1 license.
