It's simple: create a new account!

Some time ago, the Sunnyvale company announced a long-awaited feature that was meant to improve the functionality of the mail service: interoperability with Yahoo Messenger, the most popular instant messaging client on the Internet. Basically, the compatibility between the two products is almost the same as the one offered by Google that included Gtalk straight into the interface of the well-known Gmail. Using this interoperability, you are able to communicate with your friends connected to the network directly from your mail account while reading messages and organizing your inbox.

Although the entire updating process was started at the beginning of May 2007, only the luckiest of us are now able to benefit from the interoperability. Obviously, most of the Yahoo Mail users are looking to get Messenger into their account because, by any reason, they're unable to access the stand-alone downloadable application. Moreover, together with the Messenger inclusion, the parent company Yahoo is also upgrading the storage size of a certain mail to unlimited that means you're not forced to delete any message anymore.

Being one of the unlucky guys who didn't receive the update, I decided to look for an easy method to get Messenger into Yahoo. Because it is based on Yahoo Mail Beta, I tried switching to the classic interface and then back to the new one. It didn't work. That's why I decided to create a new account and see what happens. Surprise! Yahoo Messenger and the unlimited storage size were there. Just to be sure, I created one more account with the same results. So, the key to success is to create a new account because some of the accounts are upgraded very slowly and a lot of time is required until the final implementation will be available to you. Until next time, try to create a reasonable number of accounts to avoid flooding the Yahoo servers. Just kidding.
