Now that the United Kingdom is planning to block sites featuring adult content, as well as other types of content, many have asked for ways around issue.

As it happened when it came to blocked torrent sites in the UK, people are going to try to find a way around the new blockages as well.

Immunicity is a web-based tool offering a way to unblock various ISP-set filters. The tool is created by the people behind Torrentcity.

“We are angered by the censorship that is happening in the UK and in other countries across the globe, so we got our thinking caps on and decided to do something about it,” Immunicity operators declared for TorrentFreak.

They say they noticed a gap in the market for anti-censorship services and, while VPNs are great, they often require a subscription.

Immunicity currently unblocks a lot of sites, both over http and https, but it can also route censored sites over its own servers, which will make the tool effective for users from all countries.

The list of sites the tool works with includes a large collection of torrent sites, including The Pirate Bay, KickassTorrents, Movie2k, EZTV, Torrent Reactor, and Torrentz, to name just a few.

“All it needs is for the user to change one setting in their web browser, then when they next attempt to access a blocked site it will be seamlessly routed via our proxy servers to get unblocked,” Immunicity said.

There are sets of instructions for each browser, but they’re not that different, so everything should be quite easy to do.

Now that the United Kingdom will block adult content sites, Immunicity intends to add a few sets of configurations, such as “all,” “torrent sites” and one specifically created for mature content. This means users will be able to choose what kind of content they’ll be able to browse freely.
