If you have kids, do you consider yourself as a good mother or father? Sure, you want what is the best for your kid, and of course, your child is the best and the most beautiful there is, but you need to make sure he or she will also be a healthy, educated and smart kid.

The AppStore editors have created a new selection of apps dedicated to the perfect parent. Not the parent you are right now, but the one you may become after you pick some of these and use them in your job as a mother or father.

The selection has seven categories: Busy parents, Life lessons, Playtime, Mealtime, Bedtime, New Parents and Personal Assistants.

If you have a day job at the same time, the first category will help you a lot. Those of you who have kids know how difficult may prove to educate them, spend as much time as possible with them and meanwhile do your job.

A good first choice for a busy parent is TaskRabbit. This app is connecting you with hundreds of professionals specialized in different fields that can help you do your job faster. Let's say you need a delivery guy for your groceries or someone to clean the house. You can find some using this app.

If you want to keep your kids busy while you finish cooking, make sure to send them outside for some play time. But if the weather is not good, you can always have them watch a good movie. "Kids in Mind" is an app that gives you ratings and movie reviews for family friendly flicks. You will know for sure if the movie they are about to watch has any violence, nudity or profanity.

There are quite a few apps to help you cook or tell your kids a story, but we're going to skip those for another important category: the new parents’ guides. Did you know that you can actually find apps that can help you find a name for your kid, keep a diary of all the medical symptoms he's been having or track the diaper or milk bottles he used?

WebMD Baby is also a great addition to your iPhone folder with kids apps. Inside the app, you get quick access to trusted physician-approved info, hundreds of articles, tips and videos and ways to keep a new born happy and healthy.

Make sure to check out all these apps and remember to spend some more time with your kids.
