Recently, Blogger has rolled out the flashy Dynamic Views templates. Built on top of HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript, they're the latest word in blog design.
But they're also slow and
sometimes buggy. And some of the features, while looking great, offer very poor usability, like the 'pop-up' posts in the Magazine view.
Thankfully, unlike the
hated Lightbox view for photos, until recently, Dynamic Views are completely optional for your blog.
But they're still annoying when you come across a blog you'd like to read but have a hard time because of the Dynamic Views. Many of Google's own blogs are a perfect example of that.
Courtesy of Google Operating System, you can now disable Dynamic Views on any Blogger blog you encounter.
It's easy too, just add ?v=0 to the end of the URL, or &v=0 if other parameters are already used. For example,
