A new tool designed to parody Google

Googlebombing represents a way to make search engines and especially Google to return other results than the ones that correspond with the keyword. Many times, this unfair technique was used with political or humorous intentions to redirect users to important celebrities' websites.

A Googlebomb can be done with ease but the search giant is working hardly to remove all the inappropriate results. Because Google's technologies are increasing the page rank of a website using the number of the backlinks, users created a website containing a specific word and then placed multiple links on other webpages.

Because this is quite an illegal operation but you still want to trick your friends with some nice Google results, you can use Gooogie, a service that was meant to parody the giant search engine. It allows you to enter a search term as well as the "what did you mean" box that helps you to display a search alternative for your query. You can preview the service in the image placed below the article after I tested it with a search for Softpedia and Google.

"Gooogie is a site that has no connection to Google. It is meant as a bit of fun by allowing people to create a "GooogIe cannot find..." type of page that looks similar to Google. This site does not produce the content, only the functionality. We are not responsible for the content of the site that is added by the public," the developer said in the description of the service. Everyone hopes that Google will take this solution as a parody and not as a trademark infringement and the service will continue to exist.

If you want to test this funny service, you should follow this link and fill in all the information required on the right part of the screen.
