Apple sells numerous different iPhones, and iPads, but only one iPod touch

The fruity company headquartered at 1 Infinite Loop, Cupertino, CA, is best known for its iconic iPhone and iPad. The company also sells a media player called iPod touch, as well as the popular MacBook laptops.

The iDevices Apple sells come in a variety of colors and storage capacities, but the general consensus is that they are basically three distinct devices: iPod, iPad, and iPod touch. Care to know how many models there are for each device in part?

According to the iOS downloads page on Apple’s Developer site, there are precisely 17 iPad models, 18 iPhone models, and a single iPod touch version currently sold by Apple today.

Some iterations are, for example, cellular-capable iPads or CDMA-compatible iPhones. Not surprisingly, since iPod touch players only have Wi-Fi, a single model is listed (plus, it’s the only iPod touch that can handle iOS 7).

If you consider how many iDevices are currently in circulation (including discontinued models), the numbers will quickly rise. Below you have the full list of iDevices currently sold by Apple throughout its stores.

Not exactly breaking news, but if you find someone boasting about their endless knowledge about the Apple brand, you’ll probably corner them with this seemingly trivial fact.
