Developed by Julien Manici, Wi-Fi Remote Access gives users the possibility to browse their Windows Mobile devices directly from their computer. Even though one will need a Wi-Fi connectivity to make it happen, the process does not involve the installation of a client piece of software on the computer. Fully compatible with Windows Mobile 6.0, 6.1 and 6.5 operating-system devices (with or without a touchscreen), the application also gives users the possibility to copy files on their device, even when it's used as a modem, without disconnecting it.

One will be able to connect with their Pocket PC, as soon as they start the application and type the IP address of their phone in the web browser. This will give the user access to any item of data, pictures, music, and they will also be able to send any piece of info to their phone or listen to any music file. Depending on what operating system one is using on the computer, they will be able to browse the pictures directly from a WPF (Windows Presentation Foundation)-based user interface. Furthermore, Wi-Fi Remote Access features multiple-file data transfer at one time.

Another interesting feature of the software is the introduction of a registry editor, which will give users the possibility to tweak their Windows Mobile phone from a computer. Supporting a wide range of browsers (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, and many more), but also FTP server clients (i.e. FileZilla), Wi-Fi Remote Access is one of the most impressive applications, thanks to its simplicity and usefulness.

Moreover, it shows off the developer’s great programming skills, but also its dedication, as Wi-Fi Remote Access is available in about 15 languages and has received lots of update improvements and fixes. Last but not least, the software is free and doesn't require any registration, but you can make any donations.
