Facebook Photos is a giant, it's the largest photo sharing and management app on the web, dwarfing dedicated sites like Flickr, Picasa or PhotoBucket, not to mention any of the younger competitors.

It's not the best, by any means, but it is the biggest for a couple of good reasons; one, it's built into Facebook, so users don't have to manage several accounts; two, it comes with a huge audience built into it.

This means that regular users won't bother with any other services while professional photographers, reluctantly, upload their creations to Facebook, in lure of other sites that offer a better product for their needs, because that's where they'll find the biggest audience.

Flickr has been and remains one of the most popular places to share photos online, for amateurs and professionals alike. But many Flickr users may want to move at least some of their photographs to Facebook.

Now, there is a way, the UnifyPhotos app takes care of everything, importing Flickr sets into Facebook and creating private albums for each.

All users have to do is allow the app to access both Facebook and Flickr. They can then select the sets they want imported and that's pretty much it. There is no way of importing individual photos, but that doesn't seem like something too many people will want.

The process may take a while, depending on how many photos you're moving around. Once you're done, each set should be getting its own album, with the original name. All the photos and albums are set to private by default meaning only you will be able to see them, an obvious default setting.

Facebook Photos has come a long way since its inception, especially in the last year. Higher resolution photos are available and it has one big advantage over Flickr, it's free no matter how many photos you store.
