The analysts are unsure

It seems that iPod nano is puzzling the analysts, who are unsure whether the new iPod player it selling good or bad.

Analysts Shaw Wu at American Technology Research, said in an internal notification, which in the meantime has been posted on Apple Insider's forum, that iPod Nano is not selling well and that among the 1,400 iPod nanos received by every store, Apple only sold a few hundreds.

Shaw Wu's statement was contradicted by Piper Jaffray's analysts, who claim that the iPod nanos are selling very well and they back their statement with a survey carried out in 20 Apple stores, which had run out of black iPod nanos.

Another argument brought by the Piper Jaffray analysts is that Apple's site, has recorded significant increases in traffic due to the numerous iPod nano buyers.

We don't know how well the iPod nano is selling, but one thing is for sure: the black ones will become a curiosity.
