Uma Thurman began her career as a model, yet, after so many years and childbirth, she is still one of the fittest, most beautiful women in showbiz. Her secret, it seems, not even something that the rest of the world couldn’t do, as a passenger on a flight from JFK to Salt Lake City who had the good luck of being on the same plane as her recently told the media.

Uma, it seems, is a fervent believer in exercise anywhere, anytime, since the passenger, who chose to remain anonymous, told the NY Post that she started doing yoga exercises right there on the aisle of the plane.

“She started doing yoga in the aisles. She used the flight-attendant station as a ballet barre, where she stretched and did pliés for 20 minutes.” the source explained. Of course, since this was Uma, a famous Hollywood star, no one said anything bad to her.

It is already common knowledge that the “Kill Bill” star’s favorite sport is yoga, as she herself admitted countless times. While she did not fully appreciate it when she took it up, in time she learned to enjoy it thoroughly, up to the point of going out of her way to squeeze an hour of yoga whenever she could, as per her own admission. Plane rides, one could say, are Uma’s latest ingenious solution for some extra working out time.

However, yoga is not all that this particular actress does to keep in such enviable shape. Once a vegetarian (but not anymore), Uma is very careful about what she eats, without losing sight of the little pleasures that make her life all the more beautiful. Among them are a cup of cappuccino at night and a glass of wine with her dinner, as well as chocolate chip cookies and Italian food. The secret to these not showing up on her thighs or tummy consists in the fact that, every once in a while, she goes on a strict macrobiotic diet and/or a detox program.

Another tip for staying in shape, coming from Uma herself, is walking and spending as much time outside of the house as possible. This is why, when she’s not practicing outdoor sports, like horseback riding or skiing, Uma is seen walking around town running errands, which is, as she also knows it, the best way to improve circulation and keep her muscles toned.
