This time, it's the WildCharger system

A couple of months back, I've shown you a very interesting charging system, called SplashPower that allowed a user to charge all his/her portable devices by simply placing them on the surface of a special energy emitting device. Well, it seems that some other people picked up that idea, as the WildCharger Company has developed a device that works on the same basic principle: charging with no wires.

This very innovative and advanced technical solution has two very important components. The first one is the WildCharger pad, a charging pad that is less than 0.1" thin, and is also quite cheap to manufacture, since it can be produced using a wide variety of materials, either rigid or flexible, and can be placed on just about any surface. This pad is used for emitting the energy in wireless form, which is received by the second important component, the WildCharger adapter.

The WildCharger adapter is a tiny piece of hardware that can either be attached to the handheld device or even built into it. It acts as a receiver for the energy emitted by the charging pad, and as this technology will go mainstream, it will most likely be used by the big players on the mobile device's market.

Another interesting thing about this technology is that a device powered by WildCharger can be placed just about anywhere and at any orientation on the WildCharger pad and it will receive instantaneous, uninterrupted power. Moreover, the user can charge not only one, but several mobile devices at the same time, which makes this solution even more interesting and useful.

I wasn't able to find anything regarding either the availability or the pricing of these charging solutions, but they will probably become available quite soon, considering the great advantages they offer.
