If the woman were in Japan, she might have had just the right answer for the man.

A Japanese company came up with an interesting idea, making you the currency. No, you won't be paying with body parts; you will just use them in the store to have the money extracted from your bank account without even lifting a finger. Actually, lifting a finger is all you have to do, since fingerprinting will be the next big thing in payments technology.

Fingerprinting is probably the most widely used method of identifying individuals. The police uses this method to identify suspects by matching the fingerprints taken from a crime scene with those found in their databases, or with those of unrecorded suspects they encounter.

By giving a sample of your fingerprint to the bank when signing the credit card contract, you can leave home with no worries and yet, full of money. At least as full as your bank account.

Electronics maker Hitachi Ltd., together with card maker JCB Co. Ltd., developed the ultimate payment technique that identifies the veins on a person's finger, which can then serve as a credit card or ATM card.

In September, the system will be introduced in the developing company itself, involving 200 of its employees, to see if large scale applications could be successful. If so, they will begin introducing this technique in shops, banks and other businesses.

Although it's highly unlikely to actually meet a naked woman in a pub - a sane and beautiful one at least - the bartender's reaction might be a whole lot different, as she will only need to lift a finger in order to get served.
