Some people just don't know when to stop

When a person has an element of interest, it is called curiosity, when you have an idea that nobody else had, you are a visionary, if you actually put your idea into practice, you're either a genius, or insane. This is the case of a power hungry man, electric power that is, and how many people don't think twice about things because they don't want second guessing their initial idea and just run with it. So did him. He managed to overclock the electrical system in his house.

Lance Hatler, the ingenious overclocker said:" I thought my overclocked computer system is pretty sweet. Why can't I apply the same principle to my house? I mean besides the fire code. The electric company is trying to keep us in the dark ages. They've been stuck at 60 Hz since I was born. Moore's law has to take effect some time doesn't it? I heard about one guy who made a generator that pumps out electricity at 2 GHz, but the major electric conglomerates bought him out to keep us going slow."

His "passion" has taken him to the hospital a number of times, but nevertheless, he has managed to run the electrical system at 900 MHz. By doing so, the heat produced in the house is extremely high, so special cooling systems had to be installed, and according to his friends, "microwave popcorn takes like 5 seconds and I've gotten used to the beersicles", but with a small downside "he has an electric water heater so you want to be careful taking a shower so you don't scald your skin off."

The cooling system required structural reinforcements and consists of a giant heat sink and fan combination. The neighbors don't take much liking to his modifications, complaining of "hurricane-like sounds emanating from his property". He is unswayed in his determination, planning on taking the house to the next level, the 1 GHz barrier, which he believes to be able to achieve through water cooling, and as such, hopefully the noise level will also be reduced.
