In order to obtain the best results from Google Earth, the downloadable application which shows high-resolution satellite photos, you have to update your graphic cards driver to the latest version. If you're currently using a Mac OS X, you can do this entire process in a matter of seconds, using the powerful features offered by the Apple systems. "For improving the performance and compatibility of Google Earth on your Mac, we strongly recommend updating your graphics card drivers," the super giant Google advises the users.

Well, to update the drivers for a Mac OS X 10.4 or a newer release, you can do this by clicking on the 'Apple' menu (that blue apple from the left part of your bar) and by selecting 'Software Update'. "If you don't see "Mac OS X Update" on this list, your system is already up-to-date. If you do see "Mac OS X Update" on the list, place a check mark next to it," the Mountain View company explains. In order to install the latest drivers, you have to check the available boxes and press the 'Install Item' button.

"This update will deliver overall improved reliability for Mac OS X and is recommended for all users. It includes fixes for Core Graphics, Core Audio, Core Image, RAW camera support. It also updates ATI and NVIDIA graphics drivers. To update the ATI graphics card on Mac OS X 10.3.9, we suggest visiting the ATI support website," Google adds.

Google Earth is quite a powerful mapping solution that is able to provide more information than a simple satellite map. The newest version of the program comes with several goodies that improve the users' experience and brings a new perspective over the imagery. For example, the Flight Simulator allows you to view the photos by flying with a plane over a selected location from Google Earth.
