Google is the best search engine on the web and this makes the product so popular that is even included into most of the web-browsers and other software solutions which can be installed on a computer. There are a lot of ways to search the Internet using the power of Google and without thinking too much I can mention some of them: the main page of the search engine, Google Desktop, Firefox or even AOL, the portal which also offers Google Search as their default search technology. Obviously, the main questions are: which one of these solutions is the best and how can we obtain the best of Google with minimum effort?

Basically, all these ways to search Google must return you the same results because they were created to bring you the information you want. The single difference is that you can obtain it easier straight from your browser, desktop search or any other software solution bundled with Google Search.

Personally, I believe the best way to search the web using Google is by visiting the main page of the search engine but I also like to use the Firefox search box. Why? Because they allow me to use operators which can improve a lot the quality of the results and obtain better information with a single query.

For example, let's suppose you want to search for something on Softpedia, but you want to use our in-built search technology. Well, the best solution would be to go over to the main page of Google and type 'site:softpedia.com something'. The Google search engine will search on Softpedia for 'something' allowing you to avoid searching the entire web. You can do the same trick by typing an operator in the Firefox search box because the Google search technology will return the same results.
