Although duplicating DVDs is not exactly a very good idea when we're talking about copyrighted materials, there are certain situations when we need to make a copy of a certain DVD or CD as fast as possible and in the absence of a computer. And this is exactly the reason why the people over at EZ Dupe have rolled out the DVD Coach Single Target Duplicator, a device that can take care of this problem fast and easy.

Thus, the DVD Coach is touted to be the world's first Ultra Slim Portable DVD/CD Lightscribe Duplicator, as it functions as a stand-alone DVD/CD duplicator, but it can also be plugged into a computer to function as a Lightscribe labeling system and two external drives.

The device has a maximum reading speed of 8X (for the DVD-ROM format), as well as maximum writing speeds of 8X (DVD-R), 4X (DVD-RW), 8X (DVD R), 4X (DVD RW), 8 - 16X (CD-R), 8X (CD-RW).

The portable DVD duplicator works with pretty much every last-gen DVD format out there, including here DVD-ROM, DVD-R, DVD-Video, DVD-RW, DVD R, DVD RW, DVD R9, CD-DA, CD-ROM Mode 1, CD-ROM XA Mode 2, Multi-session Photo CD, CD-I, Video CD, CD Extra (CD Plus).

Furthermore, it supports a relatively wide variety of recording disks, including here 12cm 4.7GB DVD-R/RW, 12cm 4.7GB DVD R/RW, 12cm 8.5GB DL DVD, 12cm 80min/700MB CD-R, 12cm 74min/650MB CD-RW, 8cm 1.47GB mini DVD-R, 8cm 24min/210MB mini CD-R, 8cm 50MB Business CD-R.

The only major problem with the DVD Coach Single Target Duplicator is represented by its data-transfer interfaces. Thus, although the internal interface is IDE, the device connects to a host computer via USB, which means that the data transfer rates will not be exactly fantastic. The device doesn't come cheap, either, as it is available at several retailers for around $400-$500, a price tag some might find quite attractive, though, taking into consideration what this thing is capable of.
