It was already a known fact that YouTube users can easily become celebrities; but there's something special about this story, because it involves both Apple fans and officials. As Wired reported today, Nick Haley, which is one of the biggest Apple fans, created his own iPod Touch commercial using his own equipment. After uploading it on YouTube, the Cupertino-based company's officials saw it and said only one thing: 'We'll buy it!'. According to the same source, the Apple representatives called Nick Haley to Los Angeles where the engineers created the commercial again using their high definition technology and sent it to the traditional TV to promote the Apple devices.

This is how you can easily become a TV star even if you're just an ordinary YouTube user using your homemade content. But this is not the first time when Google's video sharing service helps the consumers became famous. In the past, several celebrities turned to YouTube to discover new stars and talented people.

For example, Justin Timberlake visited YouTube to choose a registered member who had the abilities to become a famous singer. At that time, Justin chose a girl that received the chance to sing a song with the famous pop star. Moreover, P. Diddy, one of the well-known rappers in the music industry, posted a clip on YouTube in order to hire a new secretary.

YouTube was acquired by Google in October 2006 and since then, it grew up a lot becoming more than a simple video sharing technology. YouTube is almost a phenomenon since millions of Internet consumers visit its page to upload and share videos with the rest of the community. Although it had numerous problems with the copyright infringement clips, YouTube remained the leader of the online video sharing industry with numerous rivals struggling to challenge it.
