Have you ever wondered how much your shadow weighs? Michael Stevens from Vsauce has, and he sets to answer this seemingly philosophical question, the scientific way.

Vsauce upload tons of videos, bringing science to the people via YouTube. This particular informational clip racked up a half of a million views since it was uploaded, less than two days ago.

In it, Stevens argues that, although one cannot weigh the shadow itself, the material it is cast upon can be weighed. As light encounters an object, it exerts a force onto said object.

Stevens goes on to explain that every square inch of every object on the Earth's surface is “pushed” with a force ranging at about one billionth of a pound.
