How Do You Use the Wii Zapper in Link's Crossbow Training?

The game ships along with the Zapper but it's going to need your Nunchuck and Wii Remote to work

It's been known for quite some time now that games such as Medal of Honor Heroes 2, Ghost Squad and Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles feature Wii Zapper support. Link's Crossbow Training has also been confirmed as one of the games that make good use of the Zapper and we're here
today to talk about how you'll be wielding it in this game.

So, let's get straight to the point, shall we?

First of all, as Nintendo themselves have confirmed in an recent official report, the Wii Zapper requires the Wii Remote and Nunchuk, housed in a comfortable and intuitive frame. The control stick on the Nunchuk controls player movement (on stages that allow the player to move), while simply aiming the Wii Zapper moves the targeting reticule on the screen. Pulling the trigger fires Link's crossbow of course, while by aiming off screen, players can turn Link to face in a new direction (again, on stages that allow moving around).

Within the 27 stages that Link's Crossbow Training sports, there are basically three game styles: target shooting, defender and ranger. Here's a little bit on each, as confirmed by the same report:

Target Shooting - In target-shooting rounds, players shoot bull's-eyes as they pop up on the screen; early stages present gamers with more stationary targets, but as the game difficulty increases in later levels, the targets gain motion; hit the center of the bull's-eye and you net more points, obviously, while hitting targets in succession without missing earns combo multipliers.

Defender - defender rounds will have players remain stationary but looking and aiming in all directions; hordes of enemies assault Link (skeletons, boar-riding Bokoblins etc.), which he must fight off.

Ranger - in range mode, players can move throughout the level using the control stick and aim anywhere they want by aiming the Wii Zapper wherever they want to look; this is where Link storms enemy encampments, fights his way through a forest and seeks out his foes while exploring the environments.

Good, now you're all set and ready to get that Wii Zapper a go on the 19th of November when Link's Crossbow Training launches for the Wii. The game ships packed with the Wii Zapper, but you'll need to have your Wii Remote and Nunchuck ready for it, because those two aren't going to be in the box.
