Have you gotten sick and took the day off already?

Some of world’s most important tech events happen each year in fall. Be it Microsoft, Google, Apple or even BlackBerry, everyone has new products to launch, which are supposed to sell well during the holiday season.

For Apple fans, this time of the year is special, as the Cupertino-based company launches a new iPhone, which is usually nicer, better and more powerful than the previous models.

Although many handset makers have decided to launch two flagship smartphones per year, Apple is keeping it simple, so fans don’t have to worry about having to switch to a new iPhone twice a year.

Well, one can argue that even once per year is too much, but once every two years should be perfect, especially for those who get their iPhones on contract. Most carriers offer 2-year contracts with the iPhone, so every two years, Apple fans can choose to switch to a new iPhone without having to break the bank.

Each year, we, and everyone who’s interested in Apple’s products, have our expectations: a larger display, a better battery or a more powerful CPU.

What's your good luck charm for the iPhone launch day?

Even with all the rumors that usually pop up each year ahead of the release, we can never be sure what’s inside the next iPhone. Apple’s PR department is very good at letting certain leaks and rumors roam the Internet to point us in the wrong direction.

We can only hope that the iPhone 6 will be packed with certain features. And if you are superstitious, now is the time to put on your lucky t-shirt or shorts and pray that the iPhone 6 is everything you wanted.

We’re curious to see how an Apple fan prepares for such a major event, apart from “getting sick” and taking the day off work.

Do you have a special ritual for Apple’s launch events? Do you keep any lucky charms close to you when the time comes for Tim Cook to come on the stage with a new iPhone?

Do you even care that Apple is launching the iPhone 6 today or you are already in line to purchase the smartphone, which is supposed to hit shelves in about 10 days?

Be spiritual and share your thoughts with us in the comments section. The wisest comment gets a thumbs up from us and a nice reply. We can’t wait to find out how you’re planning to spend this special day for Apple.
