Ex-hooker Divine Brown tells us one more time how the night when Hugh Grant picked her up was the best of her life

How many of you remember a certain incident that occurred back in 1995? It was then that the British actor Hugh Grant, who is probably familiar to you for his part in "Four Weddings and A Funeral", messed up really bad when the cops busted him with a hooker on an LA side street. And mind you, he was not asking her for directions.

All British favorite Hugh Grant with a hooker...and not an expensive exquisite escort (he sure could have afforded one), no way, but a regular street walking ghetto hooker (now that's some fetish). The media went wild, this story was everywhere. And all this frenzy turned out very different for the two characters involved.

We bring you this story now because the hooker from back then (by the way, her name is Divine Brown, if anyone is interested to know) has decided to tell the world how great of a life she has today. And this is not the first time she speaks about it. Nothing could be further from the truth. In fact, she's been talking about it ever since it happened.

Here's the deal. That night back in 1995, Divine Brown and her hooker outfit were out "working", when a "sparkling beemer" (as she calls it) pulled up. She approached the car and noticed a guy inside with a baseball cap over his eyes who was clearly nervous. She got in and they went into a side alley. $50 and a couple of minutes later the cops busted their asses and they were taken downtown.

The funny part about it is that Divine had no idea that it was Hugh Grant that shagged her that night. But the tabloids sure did and they tracked her down right away. When presented with the large sums of money to spill the dirty details, Divine took the chance to get out of the ghetto. One might think that she made a few hundred thousand bucks. In the US alone maybe that would have been the case. But seeing how Hugh was so big in his native UK, the British tabloids paid millions for the scoop.

So that's why Divine now is ever so thankful to Grant for choosing her that night, as she is now living the life of a superstar. Hugh's image may have been tarnished, but Divine moved up in the world. I guess it's true what they say: one Hollywood star's poison is an LA hooker's bliss.
