Legacy Interactive has announced that it plans to continue releasing titles in its Hollywood Hits by offering gamers a chance to take on the roles of the characters in the hit television show House M.D.

The company has a history of creating games based on TV shows with big followings, launching Murder She Wrote, C.S.I.: NY and Law & Order: Criminal Intent. House M.D. the videogame will be released for the PC and the Mac in February 2010, both at retail and as a digital package, and Nintendo DS users will also get a chance to play doctor in April of the same year.

Players will be able to inhabit the nice sneakers of Dr. House himself but will also get to control the other main characters of the series that work at the Princeton – Plainsboro Hospital. There are five medical mysteries to be solved in the game, all of them never seen before, and the player will need to go through more than 100 puzzles and mini games in order to reach the diagnosis.

The videogame is also packed with interactions between the characters, with the lines having the same dark humor and sarcasm, the trademark of the television show. Some choice quotes include, “As far as you looking normal, that's something you and your plastic surgeon have to deal with. As for your condition, we're going to check your signs and symptoms” and “We came dangerously close to getting caught in Cuddy's office the other day, and I'm worried about what you might do next.”

Initial images released by Legacy Interactive are showing the characters in the game looking pretty similar to their counterparts on television but it's not clear whether the voices of the actors will be used in House M.D. when it arrives on the PC and the Nintendo DS.
