Women who often find themselves bored to death or highly irritated on the commute to and from work have now the trendiest of gadgets to keep them company. Bag TV, a new type of handbag created by the company with the same name, caters for the two needs of a woman in this situation, in that it is both extremely trendy and practical, and fights off boredom with the help of a built-in customized 7-inch TV screen.

This might sound somewhat ridiculous, but the Bag TV has been getting the warmest reviews imaginable since launch, with countless women saying they are willing to pay £199 for a designer bag that is so ultimately fashionable and equally useful. The fact that it comes in a wide range of colors and textures – the only thing that does not change being the design – only adds to the attractiveness of this offer.

“The first in a range of new products, is a beautifully crafted ladies handbag, which comes in a range of cool colors, leathers, and fabrics, integrated with a high quality 7in TV screen combining, DVD, and Mpeg player. The screen sits behind a protective transparent shield and enables the owner to literally watch Films/Videos either on DVD or downloaded to the bag. The system comes with full connectivity for use with computers or digital cameras through USB port and SD card slot, allowing the playing of scrolling photos on the bag.” the manufacturers say of the product.

Bag TV comes in classic black and glossy black and red, tan, baby pink, white and the summery navy and white. The screen is at all times protected by a sheet of sheer plastic, and by a cover of the same color as the bag for when it’s not in use. The body of the bag itself has a security strap (but no zipper) to protect the contents, and includes a zipped pocket, a cellphone holder and a special pocket for the “credit card sized remote.” Arguably, the remote control is a bit redundant since, as several fashion-oriented outlets point out, being far enough to use it means you’re too far to see the screen.

However, the functionality of the Bag TV handbag is obvious, the manufacturers guarantee. “Use on the move, on the way to and from work, for holidays, on trains or in the car. Use at night in bars, and clubs to show off your latest photos, or favorite videos. The smart lightweight battery system, allows the player to play up to 2.5 hours, movies, video, photos before re-charging. It comes equipped with its own re-charger unit for use with the mains or in car, together audio/video cables for connectivity with TV.” the company says on the official website.
