Hotmail Users Having Sign-in and Mailbox Search Problems (Updated)

This new hotmail web is a piece of * . cannot sign into hotmail

This has happened before .... Almost all my msgs were lost and EVERY enquiry/request for info on the proiblem was completely ignored.

This time I think at least a major chunk of my "SENT" box has vanished. Strangely some of my msgs which were wiped out before have mysteriously reappeared...but showing up with current dates. Msgs which are as old as 4-5 years have now reappeared dated as very recent msgs.

Am guessing but I am quite sure Hotmail has quite seriosly messed up user msg databases.

Have not been able to search my email further back than 9/20/12.

A ton of Hotmail users can't use the search function to locate e-mail messages in their inboxes. Online tech support provided by Microsoft Hotmail is HORRIBLE. The moderators ask users to try a lot of different things like optimizing browsers and download programs. Nothing works. And to make matters worse, when some users try to help others by providing contact information for support provided by other areas of Microsoft, the moderators threaten to close their accounts. What an awful company and customer service experience.

Recently the search feature will only identify messages that were sent/received in the last 10 days. Is this an error with the search function that will be corrected?

The log-in problems are happening again today (Sep 27).

well its not resolved for me I still cannot sign in to hotmail

every time i try to log on to my hotmail account all i get is advertizing for hot mail instant messaging. the heck with that, i dont want all of their other (offers) i just want my mail. guess ill just have to switch mail box carriers. what a Pain!!! stupid the internet wont let me sign in to my account

Talk about * off.i embarked on a mnth long holiday in the ukraine.not an easy undertaking,made all the more difficult when i could contact noone because i could not access my email.imhad to resort to facebook.but the contacts i really needed were only contactable via my contacts list in my hotmail contacts.i opened another hotmail,address.but that did not help.NoT HAPPY ?kept getting msg.sorry wrong sign in.i have been using this for 5 years.

You know what.we dont want to read what people have to say.FIX IT?

I have not been able to get into my hotmail account since last Friday evening it keeps going to a blank page with sign in on top left of the screen. I briefly got into hotmail on Saturday evening by reloading the latest version of hotmail, but when I went back to it an hour later I could not and still cannot get in. All other links work fine facebook book marks etc, when will this be fixed please?

Hi I am having some issue with my hotmail account. I could sing in but when it open is like I am not in. I continue receving email but I cannot open it, delete or send email. It is happening since a while. I have tried a lot of different thing unfortunately nothing has resolved. Please, if you have any info that could help I will be thankful.

i have been experiing major difficulties in the past 10 days, getting into my hotmail ...... in get right to nhotmail then click on it ...and then it comes up ERROR 404.......don,t know what to do....++

When Iclick on Hotmail.co.uk, that transfers up to the search, but I don't get through to my hotmail site. I'm having to phone my friend in Australia juast to let her know I haven't dropped dead. This needs to be attended to now, please.

the reason you can't get on hotmail... is because they want you to sign up for the stupid tool bar thingie.....i don't want another stupid tool bar..... now they are just like google ..... by taking what is useful and functional and screwing it up.... some folks just think toooo much.

Trying for 3 days to get into my account...the only place I can view new mail is on my ipod touch...however I cannot access mail in my inbox that I have already read, since ipod wont let me and I am unable to sign in...regardless of whether I use modzilla or internet explorer...page times out...

I have been having the problem of continuosly being re-directed to sign-in page, i cant access hotmail through my phone either but I can acces my inbox using my partners phone, why is this happening?

Add me to the list. Hotmail goes back to the sign in page when I try to sign in. It's been going on for weeks. One interesting point: I can put a different computer on my internet connection and Hotmail works! I can also go to an internet cafe and my Hotmail works. This would suggest that the problem is only effecting this particular computer. So what is it about my PC? Resetting things to default , cleaning up registers or reloading software has made no difference. This is clearly effecting a lot of people. Are Microsoft on to this or not?

I tested on different accounts on the same computer, the signing would work. I am lost here.

this new way to hot mail is a piece of * two times in a row someone chance my password and I can't get it to it..I had Hotmail for years and this never happen before ..now is to easy for losers to come and change anyone password!!

Canada, I am having troulbe logging in, I also am also being redirected. I even opened a new hotmail account and I cannot get into it either.

Why can't i sign in to hotmail from Australia,i have rung two help sites and they were overseas so i hung up on them,can't understand them anyway.Today is Fri 18/01/13.I get a page saying oops cant find the server or some such crap.?This is the 3rd time this has happened and i am thinking of leaving YOUR site altogether.

I seem to have been having this problem over the last couple of months. Initially, after much persistence and continually typing in user name and password I could all of a sudden access email but now over the last 2 weeks I can not access at all. I do not see this as a short term issue.

Well my Hotmail account is still buggard up, I have changed my password a lot of times, and still can,t get in. I have a lot of important info in this account, I am completely fed up with this problem, plus I can,t stand windows 8. for the last about ten days wef 15/03/2013 i am not able to get hotmail when i write it in the address bar.Instead i am getting outlook.As such i am not able to look into my mail box for my new mails or old important information stored there in.may help.

I just made a facebook account and it wants me to confirm an e-mail on my account although hotmail is no longer letting me log into it even though I'm typing the right username and password also it wont let me change the password. ???

I finally joined hotmail. Gave my personal details. Then, sent resumes to companies. Joined gumtree to put a work add on. And then bam ... Nothing. I get sent to a Microsoft page >..< I'm so angry, because I'm in a remote area looking for a job. Can't rely on any emails, no idea if I have responses either. Thanks for screwing this up hotmail.
