Hotline: Miami, the top-down shooter that emphasizes ultra-violence and quick movement, is available on the Steam digital distribution service with a 50 percent price cut until Monday at 10 AM Pacific Time, which means players can get it for 4.24 Euro or 4.9 dollars.

The official game description reads: “Set in an alternative 1989 Miami, you will assume the role of a mysterious antihero on a murderous rampage against the shady underworld at the behest of voices on your answering machine. Soon you'll find yourself struggling to get a grip of what is going on and why you are prone to these acts of violence.”

Hotline: Miami is one of the most interesting indie games of the year and Valve seems determined to promote titles from the category during this weekend, as it also allows players to get FTL for a lower price.
