Developer Dennaton Games and publisher Devolver Digital have announced that Hotline Miami, their ultra-violent top-down action game, will be launched on the PlayStation 3 home console and the PlayStation Vita handheld during the spring of this year.

The ports will be handled by Abstraction Games and the new game will retain the visual style and the core mechanics while gaining access to cross play between the two gaming platforms.

Shahid Ahmad, a senior business development manager at Sony Computer Entertainment Europe, states, “The intense visuals and pulsing soundtrack are perfectly suited for PS3 and PS VIta and we can’t wait for PlayStation fans to see what Hotline Miami is all about.”

Hotline Miami has managed to sell more than 300,000 copies on the PC and reviewers have praised its style, its uncompromising difficulty and its soundtrack.
