Adobe rolled out several major updates for Photoshop Elements 6 and Premiere Elements 4, both for Windows, which are meant to bring more power to the users looking to manipulate photo and video content. According to the parent company, a Mac version of Photoshop Elements is currently in the workings and will be released in 2008. The two products can be both bought
as a suite for $149.99 but they are also available separately for $99.99 each.
"With video and digital cameras now part of our everyday lives and social networking sites on the rise, people are demanding sophisticated tools to show off their photos and videos," said John Loiacono, senior vice president of Creative Solutions at Adobe.
"Sophistication doesn't mean complication. The combination of Photoshop Elements & Adobe Premiere Elements offers a whole new user experience for consumers, which makes sharing impressive photo and video creations much easier and more fun. With access to all photos and video clips from one convenient place and options to export to YouTube, mobile devices and interactive galleries created with Adobe Flash technology, we expect our new products to be high on holiday wish lists."
Obviously, Photoshop remains one of the top players when it comes to photo manipulation and to image editing, because it has lots of powerful features which allow you to control your pictures in a matter of seconds.
However, everybody's looking forward to the online flavor of Photoshop which is expected to be released in the upcoming months. This special edition of the application will bring almost the same functionality as the downloadable tool, obviously with limited features, all of them accessible through a single instance of the browser. If you want to acquire the recently updated products, you can visit one of the many online shops available on the web which are already selling the Adobe technologies.
