This supposed new line of smartphones from Nokia probably makes for the hottest piece of news today, even if it cannot be regarded as a reliable leak since there are no photos yet and only presumed details on each of the devices. The list of phones expected to be released is long and diversified, so we will have a look at only the most important ones.

All these new phones, besides being technologically upgraded, seem to have certain features in common, such as Wi-Fi, built-in GPS and 5 Megapixel autofocus cameras, along with other, not so important capabilities.

One of the phones that stands out is the Athlon, whose product name is unavailable, but it is considered the refreshed version of the N85. The technical details begin with dubbing it a Quadband GSM phone, equipped with a 5 Megapixel xenon flash camera, HSPDA connectivity, 8 to 16 GB of ROM memory, built-in GPS, Wi-Fi and integrated compass. Coming to complete the list are stereo speakers and an analog joystick. All in all, not a bad phone to start the new “shopping season.”

Next in line, codename Ivalo, is the iPO8's follower and, while the information on it is not as detailed, it is equally impressive. It starts up pretty strong with a 3.5-inch wide touchscreen and a very appealing 32GB ROM memory, an A-GPS, FM transmitter and receiver. The specifications end with the TV-out jack, Wi-Fi and a 5 Megapixel camera.

The P3838 or the Madeleine is a side-sliding QWERTY phone, complete with Wi-Fi, FM Radio, Bluetooth, VoIP, GPS, a 3.2 Megapixel camera and, of course, saving the best for last, N-Gage support with gaming keys.

The Jig seems to be a bit more out of shape, as it does not really bring anything close to mind blowing – it is a Quadband GSM landscape slider phone with a 2.4-inch display, a 2 Megapixel camera and HSDPA connectivity. Word has it that it will go to AT&T for distribution.

The RM-187 Ariane or 5710 Xpress Music seems to be completely developed, operating on a 3.2 OS. However, further information on it is still expected.

Moving now to the main attraction, the phone that is probably going to attract most of the attention: codename Corolla has been developed with a 3.0-inch VGA 16M color TFT display, non touch screen (unfortunately), half QWERTY keyboard, Wi-Fi with UPnP, AGPS and FM transmitter. As for the fun part, this phone prides itself on its 128MB of RAM and 8GB of ROM, but mostly on the 8 Megapixel autofocus camera.

As mentioned earlier, the list of phones is considerably larger, these being the ones on which information was available and that were truly worth mentioning. If you've seen anything you like, it's best not to get overexcited, as these phones still fall just in the rumor category for now, and you might be very disappointed if things don’t turn out the way you want.
