I think pregnancy and rehab are Hollywood's hottest fashions today. I mean, just take a moment to think about it - how many of Hollywood's hottest ladies are knocked up? Loads of them. Think Jessica Alba, Halle Berry... Jennifer Lopez (actually, rumor has it that Jennifer might have given birth to her twins sometime yesterday, but it hasn't been confirmed so far)... And the list could go on and on. At the other end of the happiness scale, the ladies who are not so lucky as to have a baby on the way are heading to rehab (or the psych ward in a few, well-chosen cases) in droves. Latest victim to the trend? None other than the lady who was number four on AskMen's recent "Top 99 Most Desirable Women" - the luscious and smoking hot Eva Mendes.

What got Eva in rehab? Well, as the saying goes, that is a question for the ages. The only thing we know is that she's battling a "substance abuse problem" - probably drugs, but again, there's no confirmation on that one. Eva has apparently been on a tight filming schedule over the past year, and has taken time off expressly so that she can address her problem, which is probably good news. You know, that cliché about how you must first admit that you have a problem in order to find an answer for it. Well, Eva is on the right path, and she has checked herself in the Cirque Lodge rehab center in Utah, the same place where Lohan was treated last summer. That, however, is not good news - I mean, they may be one of the best rehab facilities in the States, but LiLo is even more screwed up since she left that place... you do the math.

The strange part is that Eva has apparently been at the rehab facility for two or three weeks now, and news about that just got out. Does that mean Eva is losing her sexy and is not hot news anymore? I don't think so. What then? Well, maybe it was just one of those cases in which a secret stays a secret... but really, I wouldn't expect to see that again in Hollywood for the next ten or so years. In the meantime, let's all keep our fingers crossed for Eva and wish that she pulls through this and is back to acting and looking hot in no time.
