Proving that not all good things happen to those who wait or work hard enough for them, Jeremy Meeks, aka the hot criminal that rose to Internet fame last month thanks to his most recent mugshot, aka Dreamy McMug Shot, is now officially a celebrity, after signing with a Hollywood agent.

From now on, all work offers for Meeks will have to go through this agent who, ABC News informs, also represents the likes of Octomom Nadya Suleman, V. Stiviano (the woman who publicly shamed Donald Sterling), and controversial Teen Mom Farrah Abraham.

Her name is Gina Rodriguez and, while she’s not yet handling A-listers, she is convinced that Meeks has a very bright future ahead – as a model, of course. Clearly, she has a certain inclination towards clients who make headlines for other things than work achievements and who maintain their relevance through controversy.

Meeks is now being held on 11 felony counts, including street gang membership and the possession of firearms, and a $1 million (€731,491) bail. He has a history of violence and gang activity, so chances are he won’t be out of prison anytime soon, but that’s not to say he can’t make a fortune while he’s there.

Since his arrest last month, after his mugshot (above) was posted to the Facebook of the Stockton Police Department in California, there has been a lot of interest in him from modeling agencies looking for “gangster chic” type of guys. Word has it that he might even get to model for big companies like Versace or Armani, if he plays his cards right.

Enter Rodriguez.

“Jeremy has an amazing look and has received international attention which I feel can only help him flourish in the entertainment industry,” she tells ABC News.

“Jeremy could make somewhere between $3,000 [€2,196] to $100,000 [€73,198] per month through endorsements and modeling. We are also speaking with several production companies about following Jeremy's foray into the entertainment industry,” Rodriguez continues.

They have been receiving a lot of offers but, as of now, no deal has been signed. There is a very good chance that Meeks could sign with the modeling agency White Cross Management, but a rep for it tells ABC News that, while this is a possibility, it has not been decided just yet.

As for the fact that Meeks is in prison, where he’ll stay for at least another while, Rodriguez is not concerned. As the saying goes, where there’s a will, there’s a way. And, since we’re talking in clichés, we might as well add that to every cloud there’s a silver lining.

This is what Meeks’ new agent chooses to see in his most recent arrest. “I believe this can be a positive change for Jeremy and his family,” she says.
