The hot blonde is back in full throttle on the music stage. Not only does she refuse to talk anymore about her divorce of singer Nick Lachey, but her new album is full of hope, summer and happiness. And, now the first single from it, 'A Public Affair' has a matching video.
Simpson went for a '70s type of night out with her girlfriends as the main theme of the video directed by Brett Ratner, from 'X-Men: The Last Stand' and the man behind many videos for Madonna and Mariah Carey.
The surprise of 'A Public Affair' is the fact that mostly girls appear in it and very hot ones, if it comes to that. Jessica took the opportunity and asked a few friends of hers to star in it, free of charge of course, and we bet men will be very happy that she did. Christina Applegate, Eva Longoria and Christina Milian are the hotties that skate around and party in the video (Jessica too, what did you think?).
Each of the three stars accepted the singer's invitation with the utmost pleasure, even if that meant getting back on roller blades after many years for Longoria. She told reporters present on the set that she hasn't seen or worn a pair of skates from the eighth grade, but that Applegate is a real expert and, should she fall, at least she has someone to cling to and drag down with her.
The video was fun to shoot and is also a lot of fun to watch. It stands for a new phase in the artist's life and career and, by watching it, you can decide for yourselves whether the track and album's sound is an 'early Madonna' or not.
