What would the gaming industry be without Lara Croft or BloodRayne? We would get bored of seeing Kratos, Solid Snake and the ever feminine Final Fantasy characters acting cool and tough, while not trying to impress anyone. Let's face it, most of today's gaming heroes act foolishly and start wars ... just for the ladies. Well, Kratos doesn't count as he manages to slay every woman in his path and he's much of a Prince Charming...
What's funny is that many game developers use superb girls in order to make you overlook certain flaws of their products. Remember the "Death by Degrees" title, that featured Nina from the famous Tekken series? It was a bad, bad game, but the main character was one hot babe... Let's hope that the booth girls from Leipzig are not there to distract us from neat games, because we're hoping to get gaming-related eye candy and not only female eye candy.
The logos of the major developers never looked better on the tight shirts that the ladies have to wear in order to advertise a certain game or company. However, it pays to be beautiful, since each of these girls might be on the cover of a PS3 or Xbox 360 magazine as the defining element of the latest game convention. Sometimes it's just tough to be a gaming journalist, since you have to be objective, trying to forget about the hot girls and focus on the hot games.
