The diner was inspired by the hospital experience but it didn't last long

Photos of a restaurant designed to look like a hospital are emerging online. This is not a hoax, the diner actually existed and it opened in 2009 in Latvia.

According to Huffington Post, “Hospitalis” was closed down but, for a while, it did offer an interesting experience to its patrons.

Not only was the establishment designed to be reminiscent of a clinic, the service and special options were tailored to the theme.

All the waiters were dressed like doctors or nurses, and you could even choose to be fed by one of them. That would have been necessary should you have opted to serve dinner or lunch in a straitjacket.

Clients could also choose to eat using surgical knifes. The menu included white and red cakes and drinks were served out of recipients that you would find in a pharmaceutical lab.
