And if that wasn't enough, the other will appear half-naked in the game

If you thought you knew your horror/survival games, you're dead wrong. Take a look at this trailer and then take five to think about what the whole game will be like. Jericho is not your average action survival/horror game. Not with all those highly detailed guts scattered around anyway.

Clive Barker is one of the leading authors of contemporary horror/fantasy, writing horror short stories (see Books of Blood 1 - 6), and novels such as the Faustian novel The Damnation Game (1986). He now writes modern-day fantasy and urban fantasy. As for the video game market, Barker's had some trouble bringing something truly horrific to the world, but it finally looks like he's cracked that nut as well.

PC game Undying, released in 2001 received the "Best Game No One Played" from Gamespot, while his second attempt of making a name in the video game market, Demonik, which was said to give the player the opportunity to be the bad guy, was dropped half way through development. Third time's a charm: Jericho might just make though. The same site rating Undying says that thanks to a new collaboration with Spanish developer Mercury Steam and British publisher Codemasters, the new Xbox 360, PC and PS3 horror game might just reach a higher audience.

Now, the game revolves around this squad made up of six supernatural soldiers/mercenaries, formed during World War II with the purpose to investigate the Nazi obsession with the occult. Players take the role of Captain Ross, the leader of this squad, who can inhabit the other members at will and take control of their bodies. The members are split into two subsections called the alpha and omega squads, with every member having two weapons and two supernatural abilities. They also have a mix of both physical strengths and weaknesses.

And now for the interesting part: one member, Black is a blonde sniper using telekinetic and pyrokinetic powers (the ability to move objects and them set them on fire), who can steer bullets with her mind and, here it comes...she's a lesbian! Do we really need to know our playable characters' sexual orientation? Probably not, but the game is much more attractive if stuff like this is mentioned, so you can see where I'm going with this.

And if Black's appeal for the same sex wasn't enough, here's what the other female in the gang, Church is all about. Church is a half-naked... that's a "half-naked" female ninja who can either walk up to enemies and send them flying into the air with her sword, or walk past enemies without them even knowing, using her stealth abilities.

The trailer looks promising enough, female characters' details also, all we need to see now is who console Jericho hits first.
