Every now and then, a small little game gets released and it offers you a few unforgettable hours: lots of fun, mad mouse clicking and countless enemies to destroy. It just happens that this week's game responsible for all the "during-breaks" fun is called Larva Mortus, coming from the Czech developers Rake in Grass. A real joy to play, a challenge to master, this little game is definitely addictive and mind blowing.
What makes it even more enjoyable is the fact that, actually, you have played a few more games similar to it and you had great fun with them, too. Maybe that's the casual feel for hardcore games...

Lava Mortus, presented as an action-horror game, takes you back to the 19th century, to fight against the most horrible and horrifying forces of the dark. You are a brave agent (without a name), experienced in both exorcism and combat and you have to defeat hundreds of supernatural monsters, black magic and to save the world from these forces of the dark.

Actually, the gameplay is the part that matters most, not the story. Frenetic action, fast thinking and quick reflexes are needed to master the game and a good sound system would also be welcomed, since the creepy soundtrack of the game really fits in with the story.

Along your way, you will meet 30 different types of monsters to destroy, including vampires, werewolves, undead and more. You also have tons of weapons to choose from - you'll start with the classic pistols and shotguns to advance to the powerful Dynamo gun. Also, your character can be developed through a set of RPG-like features and, the most important part of them all - Larva Mortus has an infinite replay value since all the missions are randomly generated! You've got no excuse to miss this one - check out the official website for more details or to download a demo.
