Prestigious Dutch publisher Iceberg Interactive has announced that the latest addition to its 4X space strategy game roster, Horizon, is now available on Steam.

Developed by Canadian studio L3O Interactive, Horizon follows mankind's expansion beyond our solar system and the ensuing confrontation with new-found alien races. The game offers deep customization options for races, ships and space-stations, and features real-time management of multiple tech branches with simultaneously resolved turn-based battles, offering a fresh approach to the 4X genre.

Players will be able to enjoy the advanced turn-based tactical combat and the detailed economy and colony management system, vast tech trees and customizable ship designs, both story-driven campaign and open-ended sandbox gameplay modes and rich diplomatic interactions with 10 alien races.

"We could not be happier with the way Horizon has turned out, and we are excited to start 2014 with another compelling 4X space strategy game for our loyal but demanding fans," said Iceberg Interactive CEO Erik Schreuder.
