Android devices will hopefully be improved starting with CES 2009, when Hop-on will be introducing its Casino Wagering Software on such a mobile. As already noted, the addition will be made public at the Customer Electronics Show, held in Las Vegas, in the first month of next year. Also, this seems to have the potential of becoming a very good deal, since it has been announced that such a device will cost under $200, including the new software.

"The Bets are on Mobile Gambling: Worldwide Revenues Forecasted to Reach $16 Billion According to Alexander Resources. 2008 has been an encouraging year for a number of mobile gambling service providers, with many seeing total wager increasing by more than 100%. That said, the rollout of such services has been limited to a few key markets, most notably the UK." reads a High Beam Research declaration.

The Android platform has been developed by the Open Handset Alliance, which is a corporation created in late 2007 and which has all kinds of employees, from developers and handset makers to chip makers. This whole organization is led by Google, whose purpose is the further development of this platform and coming up with all sorts of innovations regarding mobile technologies, which are to improve the experiences users have. Also, through this small branch, Google can work more easily with all kinds of mobile developers and get better results than how it would if it didn’t.

Since the Alliance is competing with other mobile developers and giants, such as Nokia, AT&T or Verizon, it is somehow under pressure, and will probably pick up the pace in its attempt to get through with its plans as fast as possible.

Regarding the Casino Wagering software, Peter Michaels, CEO and President of Hop-on stated the following: "We will be bringing Mobile Gaming to Europe where Gaming is legal, secure and regulated. New 3G wireless technologies and phones will play a big role in the growth of mobile gaming by making it more convenient and secure. These new networks and phones will allow real-time, exciting and player-to-player betting to be possible."

Michaels has also explained that, besides the eager desire to bring the best technology on the market, Google's Android works very well with this technology, while also turning Hop-on into a very competitive company on the mobile market.
