Without a doubt, there are people out there who're actually willing to spend quite a serious amount of money on certain exclusive, limited-edition items, especially if they're directly related to some of their favorite past-times (such as gaming), this being exactly the reason why a French luxury leather brand called Hoon has come up with a very interesting arcade game controller, targeting really-rich gamers.
One of the reasons why this
gaming accessory (commissioned for manufacture to a well-known Parisian workshop involved in arcade gaming-related products, namely NEO LEGEND) is so exclusive is the fact that's manufactured from some pretty expensive materials, rarely encountered in the case of such products.
So, beside being manufactured entirely by hand, the HOON ENTERTAINMENT SYSTEM, set to become available on February 18th, features a lacquered oak wood case and corners cased in ostrich leather, granting it quite an impressive level of elegance (not to mention a very expensive, exclusive and stylish look).
Moreover, it seems that the actual components are provided by Sanwa, which sort of makes sense, given the fact that they're among the world's best-known manufacturers of such specialty arcade-style gaming controllers.
Also, Hoon points out that their
controller will work quite well regardless of the platform it will be attached to, whether we're talking about the Playstation 3 or XBOX 360 gaming consoles or a personal computer.
Unfortunately, Hoon has not provided any details regarding the possible pricing for such a high-end game controller, but given the fact that it will only be available in a very limited number, not to mention the expensive materials it's built from, we believe that it's safe to say that it will most likely cost quit a substantial amount of money, instantly turning it into a collector's item for gamers backed by some serious bank accounts.
