Baby you can fly my car, but how about diving with it? That's what you can say after seeing this. Rinspeed has a reputation of developing vehicles that can sink like stones and still be fully functional. Now, the company has come up with the world's first real diving car. And don't worry about killing the innocent fishies, as the car is said to be capable of zero emission power, meaning zero pollution.

As Rinspeed informs, everybody who plans to visit the upcoming Geneva Motor Show next year (on March 6th) will be dazzled to see the "sQuba" diving car in action. They say it looks like something from a James Bond movie, I say the amphibious vehicle looks weird enough to make you wanna sink to the bottom of the ocean in a fancy kick-ass car.

"The sQuba symbolizes the realization of a long-cherished dream and of movie fictions - of which perhaps the most noted out of the James Bond film hit "The spy who loved me". And exactly thirty years later this amazing - yet at the time animated - film sequence materializes and becomes reality, in today's world," Rinspeed CEO Frank M. Rinderknecht said.

While the heart of this concept car is the electric motor with powerful torque drives that the rear wheels, you can say that its lungs are the two propellers in the stern and two powerful jet drives in the bow; they propel the vehicle under water while diving.

If you're wondering what kind of material they used in the actual production, you should know the light weight body and components were made of Carbon Nano Tubes. Thanks to a revolutionary self-contained on-board system, you'll always be supplied with fresh air while being miles underwater. I just wonder if you'll be able to honk down there.

Indeed, the car could open the road to a fascinating way of traveling, among exotic marine fish, corals, numerous invertebrates and tropical creatures.
