Honey, did you pack the TV? Say what?" In fact, this could be the best gift for TV addict dads that would rather leave an arm home than miss their sports news.

However, the DirectTV system was first announced in January at a Consumer Electronics Show. Afterwards, SlashGear confirmed the rumors about a possible launching and added some fresh information regarding the possible price tag.

DirectTV SatGo offers the best alternatives to cheap hotel rooms that lack TVs in every room, not to mention there are no TVs on the beach, in the WCs or near the pool. No to mention the picnics or the tiresome shopping trips that fathers have to deal with in their leisure time. There is no additional tax for the service on the monthly satellite TV bill.

DirectTv SatGo sports a 17" TV in a stylish crafted suitcase. The TV's receiver and antenna are nicely packed inside the case, so just like the system's site says: ""anytime you want to enjoy all digital DIREC TV programming all you need is a clear view of the southern sky." Even Tom Hanks would have needed one of these in "Survivor".

The Direct TV sports a 19.5" x 5.1"x 19.5" and weighs no more than 27.2 lbs. It also features two generously large speakers that offer you entertainment content with the loved ones. Moreover, the SatGo device is small and requires no stationary installation whatsoever, meaning you can even take this with you while camping. It uses a laptop style battery.

However, since the manufacturers added a price tag around 1500 bucks a pop, it seems the TV system is going to be appealing to just the rich TV addicts out there. For the rest of them, there is always the mobile TV alternative, 2.4-inch in size. Sad!
