14 DAY TRIAL // Mama June, star of TLC’s hit series “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo,” made headlines when she gave herself a home makeover and turned into Marilyn Monroe for Halloween but, as it turns out, her real life transformation is just beginning.
Over the past couple of years, the overweight reality star has been losing weight constantly and, which is perhaps even better, she’s been doing it without actually breaking a sweat.
She didn’t turn to hack diets or diet pills either, she tells TMZ – though neither did she change her diet or take out a subscription to a nearby gym.
“The TLC reality superstar says she weighed in at 365 lbs. [165.5 kg] when she first starting taping the show back in January 2011, but has since slimmed all the way down to a trim 263 lbs. [119.2 kg],” the celebrity publication writes.
She hasn’t cut down on any of her favorite foods, and she’s certainly not going to the gym or under the knife. What she does different now – and that’s helping her lose the weight – is that she’s more active.
“I haven't done any surgeries... no diet pills... never went to the gym, but with the show I've been more active,” Mama June herself explains for the aforementioned media outlet.
“They have me running around and going different places... I guess it's paying off,” she adds.
The photo attached to this article, of the before-and-after variety, confirms that, indeed, it IS paying off.
Another thing that Mama June can be thankful for with the show is the fact that her children’s future is pretty much ensured.
Amidst talk that the entire family is making a killing as the show is climbing in the ratings, Mama June recently revealed that she was actually putting all the money aside for the children, in a bank account, because she did not want to miss the chance of ensuring a better future for them.
As of now, the family still lives off Sugarbear’s earnings as a contractor and, of course, Mama June’s almost obsessive couponing.
