If June Shannon was criticized when she revealed the secret ingredients of the “Go Go Juice,” one can only imagine what will happen now that she’s revealed her family’s favorite dish: sketti with butter and ketchup.
On the most recent episode of “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo,” the latest hit series from TLC, June Shannon and her kiddie pageant beauty queen Alana Thompson, aka Honey Boo Boo, set out to make the family’s favorite dish.
Make sure you also check out the video below.
Called “sketti” (as in, spaghetti), the dish is nothing too fancy, as Shannon has to put food for the entire family on the table for about 50 bucks (€38.1) a week.
It’s basically boiled pasta with a sauce made of butter and ketchup melted in the microwave oven.
It may sound like something extremely gross but both Alana and June seemed psyched about it. Alana is also thrilled about getting to “cook” with her mother and try the “sketti” to see when they’re done: if they stick to the furniture, they’re done.
As we also reported
several days ago, both Alana and her mother were invited on Anderson Cooper’s show to talk about fame, their reality show and how they’re coping with the criticism and mockery coming their way, especially online.
Shannon remained characteristically unapologetic, saying she wasn’t going to change something about herself or her family just to get the viewers of their reality show to like her.
She also said that haters would hate no matter what she did, so she chose instead to focus only on those who supported her.
“This is who we are,” she said, explaining how the reality show wasn’t scripted or edited in any way to make them look more outrageous than they were in real life.
Also then, Shannon talked to Cooper about the Kardashians and a recent report that Kris Jenner thought she (Shannon) and Alana were stealing the Kardashians’ thunder.
June couldn’t care less about all that, it seems.
