14 DAY TRIAL // Two of the most famous families in reality television, the Kardashians and the Honey Boo Boo family, the Thompsons, have more in common than you’d think. This is what Mama June seems to believe, at least.
For Halloween, the entire Thompson fam decided to go trick-or-treating dressed up like the Kardashians and we have a photo to prove it attached to this article.
Because she’s the boss (no, really, she is!), Honey Boo Boo, real name Alana Thompson, went as mother and manager Kris Jenner, the one who single-handedly keeps the Jenner-Kardashian empire running and has turned it into a giant money-making machine.
If we’re to believe reports online, it was Mrs. Jenner who orchestrated the “leak” of Kim’s infamous tape, the one that took her from “Paris Hilton’s BFF” status to superstar level.
Speaking of Kim, Mama June dressed like her. Her husband Sugar Bear went as Bruce Jenner, Kris’ now-estranged husband, while the kids’ costumes were as follows: Anna was Kourtney, Kaitlyn was Penelope Disick, Pumpkin was Scott Disick, Jessica was Khloe, and Uncle Poodle was Kim.
“We decided to dress up like the Kardashians because everyone seems to compare our family to them. Now we're just the redneck version,” Mama June tells People magazine.
However, we know for a fact that, while the entire world compares the two families, Mama June has repeatedly said that they’re anything but alike because she isn’t in it for the fame and publicity, but because she’s hoping to secure a carefree future for the children.
Mama June also revealed in an interview that they still lived on a budget because all the money they make off the insanely successful TLC reality show goes into a bank account for when the girls grow up.
As for the Kardashian comparisons, she once stressed that her family was different because they were “real,” because they would never create drama by staging things to happen in front of the camera. You know, like Kim Kardashian did when she married Kris Humphries, some might say.
