7-year-old TLC star “hates” fame and her fans, is bored by the media game

A couple of days ago, while she was promoting her reality show on TLC, “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo,” Honey Boo Boo (aka 7-year-old Alana Thompson) feigned falling asleep during an interview. It’s not the first time she does something like this.

The video report from CNN embedded at the end of this video will show just how much like a spoiled brat Honey Boo Boo has been acting in recent weeks.

This has gotten many wondering out loud whether she’s not too young to be forced into the spotlight like this: since she’s 7, it’s rather hard to believe she made an informed decision to be a star on her own, when it was her parents who made the call for her.

In fact, some even see in her misbehaving the first signs of a “trainwreck,” if only for the mere fact that her mother, who accompanies her on all these interviews, barely bothers to explain to her what she’s doing wrong and why she should behave more properly.

Even Sharon Osbourne, who has a pretty solid experience in reality television, believes that 7 is “too young” to be exposed like this.

Another thing that’s been getting a lot of people talking about how Honey Boo Boo would be better off at home, living a normal life (meaning, with zero TV cameras around) and hanging out with kids her age, is the fact that she said herself she “hated” being a star.

As we also reported at the time, during the Dr. Drew interview when she pretended she fell asleep because she was bored out of her mind with it, she said she “hated” working in television.

“No! I hate it! Fans come up to me and I hate it,” she yelled, right after she tried to slap Dr. Drew, more or less jokingly.

Check out the video to see just how badly Honey Boo Boo has been misbehaving and then drop us a line to let us know if you agree with those saying she would be better off living as a normal, non-famous girl of 7.
