The senior vice president of automobile operations for American Honda Motor Co., John Mendel announced his company's plan to include all safety ratings issued by the government on all the 2006 cars and light-duty trucks models.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) welcomed the "Stars
on cars" Honda initiative with great interest, as the new Honda and Acura models are the first ones to wear the government's info posted on the window stickers.
NHTSA is the one organization with the ability to officially conduct crash tests and ratings on the vehicles, and also to take care of the customers by properly informing them on these evaluations.
The latest car window sticker providing several information required by the government is "Monroney", which reveals the price of the vehicle, but also its features and emissions, not forgetting the fabrication date.
The conducts crash tests on vehicles and rates them to help consumers evaluate a vehicle's ability to withstand a crash and its likelihood of rolling over.
