Court documents in the James Holmes trial reveal police findings in regard to purchase of weapons and ammunition.

Investigators found that he bought ammunition online on six occasions and had it delivered to his apartment.

He also received packages "on an almost daily basis" before the shooting at the Aurora cinema theater.

As I mentioned, Holmes is up for the death penalty on 166 counts. He is facing murder, attempted murder and gun charges.

Twelve people died and 58 others were injured when Holmes opened fire during a screening of Batman: The Dark Knight Rises.

According to the Denver Post, Holmes's defense team will be going for the insanity plea, however that requires a change from his original guilty plea. A judge will decide on whether or not to approve the change.
