According to the information posted on Tom's Hardware, the Hollywood studios might force producers to implement DRM technology into their high capacity hard-disks based on perpendicular writing technology which will be used in mobile entertainment devices.

Hollywood
is also concerned because of the trend of including these devices other products aside from PCs, such as standalone DVD players/recorders.

It's well known fact that mobile devices have been a threat to copyright ever since they appeared on the market. The reason is simple: the temptation of illegally copying (even for personal purposes) is too great for users.

Including high capacity hard-disks into these devices doesn't pose many problems from the technical point of view, but the laws and software solutions will surely prevent users from storing dozens of movies on their PMPs (Portable Media Player) or on the future video iPods.
