For some weeks now, there’s been some talk of how Holly Madison, once known as Hugh Hefner’s number 1 girlfriend, has gotten “fat.” To silence critics, the glamour model has done the unthinkable: pose in a swimsuit and have the unretouched photo published in a magazine.

The latest issue of Life & Style magazine brings on the cover a pic of Holly like her fans have never seen her: shot from the back, she’s flaunting her curvier body and showing off some cellulite on her thighs.

In the accompanying interview, the former Playboy bunny says she’s sick and tired of industry people calling her fat just because she gained some weight.

At the same time she admits: yes, she has cellulite but, as long as she has learned to embrace this flaw of hers, why do others care enough to criticize.

“I’d rather be overweight and curvy than super thin with no curves. I’m proud of my body,” the 32-year-old star says for the celebrity magazine.

That also includes the cellulite on her derriere and thighs.

“I have cellulite – and had it even when I was at my absolute thinnest. I’m never not going to have cellulite. People need to just accept that it’s there and maybe dress accordingly or use body makeup to cope with it,” the reality star admits.

Since she moved to Las Vegas, Holly packed an extra 15 pounds because she only ate room service food, which meant she felt free to indulge her every whim.

The “fat” talk began, she recalls, when the choreographer for Peepshow, of which she was a part, told her that she needed to shift some of the extra weight because it was noticeable for people in the audience.

“Once I realized that other people were noticing that I’d packed on a few, I was embarrassed to go onstage,” Holly says.

In the meantime, though, she’s learned to live with the extra weight or, even more, to accept that her body is changing.

Of course, she’s not about to fall in the other extreme and allow herself to continue packing on extra pounds: she’s started Pilates and running to stay in shape, and is now considering a special food delivery program to keep calorie intake in check.

“I’ve always had a [round backside], and I want to keep it – cellulite and all. I’m not perfect, but I love my curves,” she concludes.
