The People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, or PETA to put it more simply, have found the perfect recipe to getting people's attention in what regards an issue that should concern us all: posters with naked chicks. The idea is positively brilliant but the latest campaign just goes to show that there is always room for improvement.

Allow me to explain: if you take the idea of a naked chick on a megahuge poster and you add to it the one or all of the following terms - 'Playboy', 'Playboy' Playmate and Hugh Hefner's main squeeze - you get something that could totally revolutionize and boost the fight towards a greener and animal-friendlier society. Or, if you happen to be one of the people who are not into that kind of stuff, you get a super hot blonde 'Playboy' bunny going naked for some cause that you don't care about. Just in case.

Holly Madison is the latest celebrity to join the battle against animal cruelty with PETA. Of course, the term 'celebrity' is only loosely applied here, since her main credits include being Hugh Hefner's numero uno girlfriend, the star of the 'Girls Next Door' reality show and one of the many Playmates we got to see over and over again in the pages of the men's magazine. However, the fact that she's willing to do something about a situation that she considers wrong and to use her celebrity status to raise awareness on said situation speaks volumes in what concerns her character.

After being contacted by PETA and being told that manufacturers who use fur for their clothing items also use dog or cat fur, Holly decided to take part in the 'I'd Rather Go Naked Than Wear Fur' campaign, the one that was initiated by Pamela Anderson last year. Holly is an animal person and her life in the Playboy Mansion is generally divided between Hugh, his two other girlfriends (Bridget Marquardt and Kendra Wilkinson) and the many pets they have.

The whole idea behind this campaign is that there is always a substitute for real fur and that is, of course, faux fur. Anything can be faked and real fur is not a necessity, Holly says. Especially not when there is a much cheaper and way friendlier variant to it.
